Special Steels Division

Frankwen commissioned the Speciality Steel Bar Stock Division in June 2002. Standard merchant bar stock sizes, in the popular steel grades, are available ex stock in prime lengths. We can also cut to length requirements.

Our product ranges and services consist of:

• Carbon Steel:

  • 080M40 (EN8)

  • 070M55 (EN9)

  • 070M20 (EN3A)

             Available in size range: 80mm to 500 mm dia.        

•  Alloy Steels:

  • 709M40 (EN19)  - 80mm to 500mm dia

  • 817M40 (EN24)  - 160mm to 500mm dia

  • 655M13 (EN36B)- 160mm to 350mm dia

  • 826M40 (EN26)  - 160 mm to 500 mm dia

  • 835M30 (EN30B)- 160 mm to 500 mm dia

  • 17CrNiMo6         -  upon request

   

                            

                            

•   Peeled Bar :       

• Size range - 75mm dia. to 160mm dia. in various grades.

Material available in the AS ROLLED/AS FORGED/ANNEALED/NORMALISED condition.

Heat treated bars to condition "T" in grades 709M40 (EN19) and 817M40 (EN24) available ex stock.

• Cut to length:   

Our fully automatic band saws are capable of cutting multiple cuts on a continuous basis.

• Delivery:

Delivery to our customer on a daily basis within the Gauteng Area.
